As a newborn photographer, I know that every session is unique—each baby brings their own personality, quirks, and charm. But once in a while, a session comes along that feels like a dream come true. That’s exactly what happened when this sweet baby girl came to my Olympia Newborn Studio for her newborn session.

It’s rare, but not impossible, to have a baby who sleeps soundly from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave. Most babies wake up, need feeding, and take breaks from posing during their session, which is totally normal. But this little one? She was the unicorn of newborn sessions! After a few recent sessions where the babies weren’t quite as sleepy as I’d hoped, having this calm, peaceful little angel was like a breath of fresh air. She slept through the entire session—truly, from start to finish.

Her peaceful slumber allowed me to capture all the adorable, timeless moments I love to photograph—perfectly curled poses, dreamy close-ups, and those tiny, precious details. She was absolutely irresistible, and her little expressions—sometimes a tiny smile, sometimes just pure serenity—made my job feel like a true privilege.

What made this session even more special was that I had just done her maternity session a few weeks before. It’s such an honor to be able to work with families throughout their journey—from maternity portraits to newborn sessions and beyond. Seeing this sweet baby girl finally in her parents’ arms, safe and sound, was a full-circle moment I’ll never forget. It was so fun and heartwarming to be a part of these memories and capture these moments that they will cherish forever.
